When I Stand At Your Grave
When I stand at your grave
what do I see?
I see a stone bearing the name,
of the child who never grew.
When I stands at your grave
What do I feel?
I feel sad and lost
without you here with me.
When I stand at your grave
What do I hear?
I hear the birds and the trees
Can I hear an angel calling to me?
When I stand at your grave
What do I hope?
I hope you are happy at peace
in the place you call home.
When I stand at your grave
What do I know?
I know of my pride
when I say your name.
When I stand at your grave
What do we know?
We know of the love that did not die
when you went away.
These are the things when I stand at your grave.
